all human -- Bella and Emmett live together and she runs a deli in Port Angeles, then soon meets someone Edward that can heal her broken heart.

About nine months before the story starts, Bella's boyfriend dumped her for someone else and she's still trying to move on with her life.  Bella and Emmett are friends and roomates, who live in an apartment above the deli that Bella owns.  Alice is a good friend of theirs.  Emmett is a sheriff deputy but helps at the deli sometimes.  Edward and Jasper are brothers and both are doctors. Alice and Rosalie are cousins. I remember it being a really sweet story. It's not marked as "complete" but it hasn't been updated in a long time, I don't think it stopped on a cliffhanger so it's my assumption that the author is done.

The people involved included Alex Meraz, Julia Jones, Gil Birmingham, Justin Chon, BooBoo Stewart, Q'orianka Kilcher, Raoul Trujillo, Taro McArthur, Jaisey Bates, Larissa Fasthorse, Elizabeth Sage, Natalia McArthur, Sharlyse McArthur, Fivel Stewart, Darryl Redleaf, Montano Rain and Joannelle Nadine Romero.

Given the size of this tragedy is is shocking that the main stream press is not covering this story.The current water system is outdated and operating at capacity, leaving the tribe no room for economic expansion and preventing its housing authority from building new homes. To build a new water
infrastructure is estimated to cost over $500 million dollars.

This was promised to the Sioux people over 50 years ago and this allocation would put a long-term solution in place and give the Lakota Sioux
people an opportunity to prosper. Without water, the most basic building block of life and society, the people of the Lakota Sioux Reservation have little hope of impacting their situation in a way where they may prosper and thrive.

Since the late 1950's the tribe has been forced to move from their original Tribal Head Quarters, known as the Old Agency on Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, which was located on the river bottom. The Tribal leaders during this time, built schools, hospitals and their own police department with tribal dollars. All is under water now. The book "Dammed Indians" shows how the Pick-Sloan Act forced tribal people up and down the Missouri River. This was done to make way for the Dam to make Hydro Power for the government. The precious resource of water is utilized to generate billions of dollars worth of electricity yearly, for the United States Government.

Currently, without a water infrastructure, they cannot build new homes and cannot build on any new development.
The system is keeping an impoverished nation, impoverished.

So, how can you help? It's simple:

In a couple of minutes a letter will be off to your congress people or senators imploring them to hold themselves accountable to the promise of the water infrastructure project.

'New Moon' DVD sales on track to surpass 'Twilight'

Summit Entertainment's strategy to release its much-anticipated New Moon DVD on a Friday night — just as the studio did for the release of Twilight's DVD — is paying off handsomely. The studio reports that the DVD of The Twilight Saga: New Moon sold 4 million units over the weekend. The take surpasses Twilight's 2009 DVD release, which sold 3.8 million units its first weekend, and 9.2 million total, making it the top selling DVD title of the year.
Summit added to the fervor by spreading its cast around the country to make surprise stops at various retail outlets. Director Chris Weitz, Nikki Reed and Rosalie Hale showed up in Los Angeles while Peter Facinelli made a stop-off in New York and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg showed up in Seattle. As for Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson? Well, they were nowhere to be found. Between Pattinson and Stewart's own promotional duties for their other projects (Remember Me and The Runaways) plus the intense media scrutiny they constantly live under, they probably felt it best to skip this event.

another good reason for me to wait on buying the DVDs
I would much rather have deleted scenes than a documentary.

Instead, folks buying the much-awaited "New Moon" DVD release will get a wholesome documentary on the making of the movie and commentary from Weitz and editor Peter Lambert. There are no deleted scenes (they will come out in future DVD releases) and no bloopers.

[BellaAndEdward] buying the DVDs

 

I decided that I'm going to try to talk myself into *not* buying new moon or eclipse when it comes out. I remembered that after all the seasons of charmed and Buffy were done, then they released a "box set" of all of them and I bet they will do that with all the Twilight movies too, so I'm going to wait and get that someday instead of buying them individually as they come out. Though I will probably rent them in the mean time.
