Hey, I wasn't pointing the finger at SM directly. But you also have to take into account her publisher. Book contracts are rock solid, SM does not have complete control over her books anymore. Publishers are paid to think about profits, not fans (not directly anway).
Just my 2c >
Oh no---I didn't think you were, sweetie. And yes, her publisher's Iany author's publishers) are into making money because that's what you do---make money with the authors---and the authors share in it too---along with everybody else. But you know, I think the publishers are wonderful in regards to what happened. After all, they could demand her to finish it right away but I think they know with all the distress, she just can't do it. I want to give them a big hug, if that is the case.
But another way you could look at it is that this book was done under spec. As in she decided on a whim to try Edwards POV (and this is possible considering she was never going to do the New Moon version since it would hurt her and the fans too much) and this is her deciding, when and should she finish it, with no pressure put on her. Either way, she'll have no pressure on her and even if fans are not happy about it, they won't get something that is below par now, because she is so upset. That makes some sense, right? : ) Prolific Peggy. PS: Sorry about the two color thing in my answer---for some reason, the first paragraph won't show up in blue. :: grrrrr ::
