Re: [BellaAndEdward] missing fic

I just discovered that an author whose stories I love recently removed her all stories from ff.net, but her profile was still up.  I sent her a message through her profile asking if she would send me a Word or PDF file of her stories, and she did.  Was I ever relieved that she was willing do send them.  I have painfully learned to immediately download any story I like, or think I'll like.

Also, here's a link to ADifferentForest website topic regarding pulled fics. Someone on there likely has it. You'll have to join ADF.

Does anyone know why the author (DeydreamBeliever) removed her story "Changing the Future" from fanfiction.net? I really loved that fic. How can I find it? >

First off---is her profile still on ff.net? If it is, it might just be the fact she's taken it off to fix a few things or maybe she got a bad review and decided to delete it from ff.net.

If that's the case, then you might just google her name and put fanfic or twilight fanfic after it. Or google the name of the piece. It might lead you to another place she's put it.

However, if her profile, along with the piece or any other's she's written there, is gone, she's either left ff.net or she's taken it off because she's going to be a professional writer. A lot of them them do that. Now if it's the first, you might still find it out there. However, if they're turning professional, they usually hit all the sites they've posted on.

I know that ff.net is a great place to find fanfic but sometimes---well, I've heard horror stories about it---from friends who have posted there. I think some of the viewers love to flame them. I know a friend of mine got it once and I said to her, sounds like the person likes another pairing that you didn't write and is hoping that you will switch sides. I can tell you for a fact, that doesn't work. It either gets you so riled that you lift the piece off---or you just ignore it and figure, eh, I'm not changing or eh, other people love it---what's one bad review to 10 good ones. Now, that's a light flame---there have been some that could light a campfire for 10 months---not good. Really not good.

Hope that helps. Prolific Peggy.
