I just discovered that an author whose stories I love recently removed her all stories from ff.net, but her profile was still up.  I sent her a message through her profile asking if she would send me a Word or PDF file of her stories, and she did.  Was I ever relieved that she was willing do send them.  I have painfully learned to immediately download any story I like, or think I'll like.  >
