Jake is mentioned in the story, but is not part of it. I feel I should warn you that Bella's marriage ended because of Jake's death and it wasn't pretty -- it was Bella's young daughter who found his body. I'm sorry if saying that ruins it for some of you but when Bella eventually explains to Edward what happened, it's rather specific and honestly I wish it hadn't been quite that detailed with the imagery so I thought I should warn you.

This is an excellent story. It's a "short" story in regard to the number of chapters, but each chapter is quite long. 
The Cullen family is living in Vermont. Edward travels to the home he lived in back when he was still human (he still owns it and sometimes rents it out). While he's there, he notices a person from his past moving in across the street.

[BellaAndEdward] Taylor Lautner

 

For any fans of Taylor Lautner in the group....
 
I just found out that Taylor Lautner is going to be in a movie called "Abduction" and he plays the main character: Nathan.  The movie will be in theaters September 23.  Below is the story summary, and movie trailers can be seen at the links below that.

not sure if it matters to anyone, but it was at 14 chapters when I started reading it, it is a completed story now and ended on a bit of a cliff-hanger, though the author promises to write a sequel.

Without Edward to save her, Bella is hit by Tyler's van and taken to the hospital, barely alive.  Luckily, Carlisle Cullen is there, and he saves her life.

Bella is almost raped in Port Angeles, but luck strikes again as Jacob Black appears out of nowhere and rescues her.  Jacob seems like the perfect man for Bella, even Charlie approves of him. But does she like him in THAT way?

As our favorite klutz lands in the hospital over and over again, both Bella and Carlisle begin to suspect that there is something very odd going on in the little town of Forks…

I'm going to see if I can explain this without giving away too much of the story.  Long story short, there is an "original" time line and an alternate timeline emerges due to a wish made by Rosalie, granted to her by Chronos, (the keeper of time).  This story starts at the beginning of the alternate timeline.  Rosalie is not a part of the alternate timeline technically but you do get glimpses of what happened in the "original" timeline that caused Rosalie to make the wish.

And just so you aren't confused, at the start: Edward, Esme and Emmett are going by the names Anthony, Anne and Dale.
