I was confused about some things when first starting this story so I asked the author about some things and I'm going to share her answers with you so you will be less confused when you read it.  Just in case you want to figure it out on your own, I will include some spoiler space, but I really think you should read it.

1. Edward has piercings and many tattoos. I assume that he must have gotten them when human but that seemed odd for the time period, considering how old he is supposed to be in this story.

author's response:
My vampires have thick skin and heal quickly… but they are not made of granite. I never liked that about Twilight. Curling up next to a cold stone in bed isn't my idea of fun. Also, Edward is cold-blooded… as in, he will warm up in the sun, in warm water, etc.

it seemed like Edward was not a mind-reader in this story so I asked to be sure:
No mind reading… no future telling… no 'powers' per se. Alice has good intuition and Jasper can read people's emotions REALLY well, which is a by-product of his change. That will be explained when we hear Jasper's story.

It occurred to me that since there is no Carlisle in this story, why is he called Edward CULLEN and not Edward Masen?
TECHINCALLY, you are correct. He should be Edward Masen… but I wanted to tell a story about "Bella Swan" and "Edward Cullen." So… call it poetic license, the Cullen stays. :o)

I commented on that I thought Bella's reaction was more realistic than many I've read.
THANK YOU for the review about the reveal. I was SO F*CKING NERVOUS about that chapter. I wanted it to be realistic… and reveal chapters are generally a HUGE pet peeve of mine in fan fiction. Either they are too long and drawn out or they are stupid and unrealistic. He's a different species! She should be SOMEWHAT taken aback, you know?!? But if she makes too big a deal out of it, you end up with way too many chapters of 'deciding what to do' and it's not even worth it. So yeah. Thanks. :o) That catches me up for now – again, thank you so much for taking the time to review. I appreciate it SO SO SO much!
